Meet Our Team

Dr. Dalbir Benipal is a dedicated veterinarian with more than 30 years of experience in companion animal medicine and surgery. Since opening Glenn Mountain Animal Hospital in 2002, he has been committed to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to pets and their families throughout Abbotsford and the surrounding Fraser Valley.

Dr. Benipal earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Punjab Agricultural University, and has built his career on a foundation of continuous learning, clinical excellence, and a genuine passion for animal welfare. His professional interests include internal medicine, surgery, diagnostic imaging, pain management, preventive medicine, and international pet travel certification.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Benipal enjoys spending time with his family and working on the family’s blueberry farm in the Fraser Valley. He believes that the same values that guide successful farming—patience, dedication, and hard work—also shape outstanding veterinary care.

Dr. Benipal is married to Dr. Sonwinder (Soni) Benipal, a veterinarian who serves with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Together they have built a family dedicated to education, service, and healthcare. Their eldest daughter, Dr. Sukhmani Benipal, is a physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, while their younger daughter, Charlene Benipal, completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of British Columbia and plans to pursue a career in Veterinary medicine. Their son is also pursuing his own professional goals, and Dr. Benipal takes great pride in supporting all of his children’s ambitions.

Whether caring for a beloved family pet, mentoring younger veterinarians, or serving the local community, Dr. Benipal remains committed to treating every patient with compassion, integrity, and the highest standard of veterinary medicine. His philosophy is simple: every pet deserves to be treated like family
